Love In A Millenial World
One point in time, love was something that was not taken lightly. Boy meets girl, girl falls in love and they live happily ever after. Right? Well as the time does, things begin to change. As sure as the years evolve and the earth spins around the sun, people begin to change as well as feelings.
You ever went out to the grocery store and admired the elderly couple from afar who deliberate on which gallon of milk is the better one? Or even the couple who literally admire each other like it's still the first time they met? The couple who literally have weathered the storm and literally built their relationship from the ground up. The older generation who literally are 'bae goals'. Back when they had no Instagram, Snap Chat, or Facebook. When you had to literally go to her door and meet her parents before you even had the chance to take her out on a date.
In a time when you literally had to call the operator to call them on the phone and literally talk for hours. The purest form of love. Brick by brick, side by side, building a house of love together when only the two of you have the keys and used the proper tools to construct the foundation in order to build a quality assured house. The type of love that we all aspire to have.
Every decade, we become more and more advanced and things seem to get more in the way of us all actually being 'happily in love'. Beepers. pagers, cellphones, etc. We've watched these type of things begin to ruin relationships in front of our eyes since the 80's and 90's and more now than ever. Generation X personifies what it means to 'start from the bottom'. Its amazing to hear them speak of their
